# Method steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.
02 - Whisk together rolled oats, whole wheat flour, ground cinnamon, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
03 - In a separate bowl, blend creamy peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, melted unsalted butter or coconut oil, egg or flax egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
04 - Pour wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
05 - Gently fold in raisins and, if desired, chopped walnuts.
06 - Spread mixture evenly into prepared baking pan, pressing down firmly to form an even layer.
