# Components:
→ Main
01 - 8 medium flour tortillas
02 - 1½ cups canned black or pinto beans, drained and rinsed
03 - 2 cups shredded cheddar, Monterey Jack, or mixed cheese
04 - 2 tablespoons butter or neutral oil
→ To Serve (optional)

# Method steps:
01 - Lightly mash the beans in a bowl with a fork for easier spreading, if preferred.

03 - Place one tortilla in the skillet. Evenly sprinkle ¼ cup shredded cheese over half the tortilla, then spread approximately 3 tablespoons of beans atop the cheese.
04 - Fold the tortilla in half to enclose the filling securely.
05 - Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, applying gentle pressure with a spatula, until the tortilla turns golden and the cheese melts.
06 - Remove cooked quesadilla and repeat assembly and cooking with the remaining tortillas, beans, and cheese.
07 - Cut each quesadilla into wedges and serve immediately with preferred toppings.
